A bridge between the visible and the invisible
The choice of the medium is being determined by the driving force that leads the creative act. The themes remain the same: to alchemise emotional states and transcend everyday life in order to find deeper meaning, connect with the mysterious and give expression to the unfathomable, through form, colour and sound. The artistic work, echoing parts of the unconscious, becomes a sanctuary for the soul in which it can connect to complex emotional states, dreams and memories that are integrated and eventually released in the process of creation. It thus acts as a sacred portal to an inner sphere of divinity, yielding to a deepening sense of the self. The search for hidden, deeper beauty and its expression becomes a powerful and transformative ritual. The aim is to build a creative universe, mirroring the complex labyrinth of life and its unique experience therein; to honour it as sacred and find healing through harmonising the dissonances while simultaneously holding space for them.
With an inherent need to transcend the boundaries of individual creative disciplines, Cosima moved to London after six years in the film industry to pursue a degree in Fine Art Painting, as a way to expand her creative expression. Her world is enriched and shaped by spiritual philosophy, mystical poetry, symbolism and sacred music - all of which profoundly influence her work and life, as well as a lifelong love for cinema, ultimately leading her to become an actress. A classically trained musician, her creative foundation is the piano. Following an extended break, music returned to her in the form of tender piano pieces that visit her like poems. Thus, arriving at the beginning, a full circle takes shape encompassing all creative disciplines gathered on the journey.
